Welcome. I am really glad you are here.

At Perth Hills Allied Health, we believe that people grow best when they feel safe, understood and connected. That has always been the foundation of our work. Children, families and professionals deserve spaces where they can breathe, settle and be met with genuine care.

Communication is not only about words. It is about relationship and trust. It is about helping a child feel comfortable enough to share their world with you in whatever way comes naturally to them. When we honour that, learning becomes lighter and far more meaningful.

Child-Led Speech Therapy & Mentoring in Kelmscott

Our practice is shaped by four values that have guided me for most of my life: support, growth, connection and family.

These values come from my childhood in Zimbabwe, from the many families who have walked through my doors and from my own journey as a parent. They continue to shape how we work and how we show up.

This is why I created Perth Hills Allied Health. I wanted:

  • A place where therapy felt gentle and human.

  • A place where children do not need to perform.

  • A place where parents feel respected and heard.

  • And a place where therapists can grow in a way that aligns with who they are, not who they think they should be.

Today, our work flows through three streams.

Three stream of our work

STREAM 01

Neuro-Affirming Speech Therapy for Children

(Up to Year 7)

Therapy needs to feel safe for children. It needs to feel kind and spacious enough for them to arrive in their own time.

We offer strengths based, child led speech therapy for children up to the end of Year 7. Our sessions are grounded in play, curiosity and connection. We follow your child’s interests, honour their communication in all forms and make space for the small, important moments where confidence grows.

Children flourish when they feel seen just as they are. That is the heart of our approach.

STREAM 02

Adult Learning Zones for Therapists, Teachers & Parents

Our Adult Learning Zones were created because learning should feel clear, supportive and deeply relevant to the real world. These sessions are for therapists, teachers and parents who want guidance that is both practical and affirming.

I know what it feels like to look for direction and not know where to turn. I know the weight of wanting to do the best for your clients or your child. These spaces exist to offer clarity without pressure and learning without judgement.

People often leave feeling more grounded and more connected to their purpose.

STREAM 03

Aligned Leadership Mentoring & The Therapists Haven

This is the home of my mentoring and The Therapists Haven, a community created for those who carry a lot on their shoulders and simply need a safe place to land.

I know how isolating it can feel to support others while wondering if you are getting it right yourself. I am here to be your go-to professional support through 1:1 supervision and group mentoring or by speaking to your team about the topics closest to my heart like connection, community, and the power of staying aligned.

You do not have to do any of this on your own. My goal is to provide a grounded space for reflection and connection so that you and the people you lead can truly thrive.

What ages do you support?

Perth Hills Allied Health provides speech therapy for children from the early years through to the end of Year 7.

What is neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy?

Neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy recognises and respects different ways of communicating, learning, and interacting with the world. Therapy focuses on supporting a child's strengths, preferences, and goals rather than trying to change who they are. All forms of communication are welcome, including verbal, non-verbal, visual, and AAC communication.

What can speech therapy help with?

Speech therapy can support expressive and receptive language, speech clarity, literacy skills, communication confidence, AAC use, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and social connection. Perth Hills Allied Health supports children with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), dyslexia, literacy challenges, and other communication differences.

Do I need a referral to book speech therapy?

No referral is needed. Families can contact Perth Hills Allied Health directly to discuss their child's needs and book a free 15-minute consultation. Families with a GP Chronic Disease Management plan can use their Medicare rebate towards sessions.

What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?

The free 15-minute consultation gives families an opportunity to discuss their concerns, ask questions, learn about the clinic's approach, and determine whether the service is the right fit for their child and family.

Do you support children with Autism, ADHD, and Developmental Language Disorder?

Yes. Perth Hills Allied Health provides neurodiversity-affirming support for children with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and other communication and learning differences. Therapy is tailored to each child's strengths, interests, and communication preferences.

Do you use AAC and alternative communication methods?

Yes. The clinic supports a wide range of communication methods, including speech, visual supports, and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). Children are encouraged to communicate in ways that feel natural and effective for them.

Where is your clinic located?

Perth Hills Allied Health is located at 105 Champion Drive, Kelmscott, Western Australia. The clinic provides a sensory-friendly environment designed to help children feel safe, comfortable, and supported during therapy sessions.

Do you offer home visits?

Sessions take place at our Kelmscott clinic. Home, school, and daycare visits are not currently offered.

Do you support NDIS participants?

Yes. Perth Hills Allied Health supports self-managed NDIS participants.

What is your approach to speech therapy?

Therapy is child-led, play-based, and strengths-based. Goals are developed collaboratively with children and families, and sessions are tailored to each child's interests, communication style, sensory needs, and everyday life.

Do you work with parents, schools, and other professionals?

Yes. Perth Hills Allied Health collaborates with families, educators, and other professionals to support consistency across environments and help children achieve meaningful outcomes. The clinic provides school advocacy support and can attend school-based meetings or case conferences in person or via Zoom/Teams.
